Small acrylic painting of a Crow on recycled canvas. Did you know that crows have the largest brain to body ratio of any bird? Their brain to body ratio is even bigger than humans. They are also one of the four species that can craft tools besides humans, orangutans and chimpanzees. Aandeg is crow in ojibwe and in indigenous cultures they have significant meaning and are special parts of story telling. The worm like tongue was inspired by alligator snapping turtles that have worm like tongues and are just so gross and cool. Hopefully this Aandeg can grab a mid winter snack.
